David Tessier
President and Founding Member
David is a 30-year veteran of the hospitality and gaming industry, with experience in over $11 billion of financial transactions. He has held leadership positions with some of the most innovative hotel and gaming companies in the industry. While leading HGA, David also served as Chief Investment Officer and CFO for Turnberry Associates and Fontainebleau Miami JV LLC—where he completed over $1.8 billion in transactions including the Fontainebleau debt restructuring and subsequent refinancing.
Prior to forming HGA in 2009, he served as CFO of the Americas at IHG, the world's largest hotel company by number of rooms, overseeing 3,300 properties. As CFO of Kerzner International Resorts (best known for Atlantis Paradise Island and One and Only Resorts), he led $2 billion of development in resorts, retail, vacation ownership and residential real estate—playing a key role in the company's $5 billion privatization and $3.5 billion associated financing.
Before his key role at Kerzner, David served as CFO for Ian Schrager Hotels (now Morgans Hotel Group), overseeing the company's most rapid expansion period including its first two international hotels. He also served as SVP of Finance for Hilton Hotels, responsible for financial operations of all hotels world-wide, and spent 17 years with Marriott International. He has held gaming licenses in Puerto Rico and the Bahamas.
David is a partner in developing an Edition Hotel in Reykjavik Iceland and a W Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee. He served on several boards including Avendra, joint ventures with Starwood Vacation Ownership, Turnberry Residential and Kerzner International. He has also served as CFO for two non-profit 501 (c) 3 corporations and is currently a trustee at the Landmark School in Prides Crossing Massachusetts and on the arts and science committee at Bentley University.
Mr. Tessier received his B.S. in Accountancy from Bentley University in Waltham, Massachusetts and his Masters degree in Finance from Nova University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
Anna Gomez
Partner
Anna boasts 20 years of experience in operations, accounting, finance, financial planning and investment analysis in the hospitality and gaming industry.
In 2009, Ms. Gomez began her consulting career by assisting in the debt restructuring and operations at the Fontainebleau Resort in Miami Beach, Florida. Soon after, she was exclusively contracted by Ian Schrager to assist in the development, launch and redefinition of the boutique hotel segment with two private labels: PUBLIC and Schrager. Responsibilities included identifying ideal markets, securing investors and partners, investment analysis, due diligence and asset management of the PUBLIC Chicago. Although Ms. Gomez is now working with a broader client base, Ian Schrager continues to be a valued client.
Prior to this, Anna oversaw InterContinental Hotel’s (IHG) financial planning and investment analysis team for the Americas, which supported more than 3,200 hotels and included the InterContinental, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express, StayBridge, Candlewood, Indigo and Holiday Vacation Club brands. Before IHG, she was VP Financial Planning and Analysis for Kerzner International Resorts, where she was a key contributor in Atlantis’ $1 billion expansion on Paradise Island and led feasibility for the development of Atlantis The Palm, Dubai, Morocco, various One and Only acquisitions and contributed to many proposed projects including Sentosa Island, Singapore and a casino JV with MGM in Las Vegas.
During her time at Kerzner, Ms. Gomez led the financial planning for the Paradise Island business while also contributing to the acquisition and development efforts for the One & Only Properties. *
Ms. Gomez received her B.S. in Accounting from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida and a Masters degree in Business Administration from Pepperdine University in Malibu, California. She also completed graduate studies at the University of Oxford, England.
